At the Area North Planning meeting on Wednesday 23rd January the planning application for the proposed new Rectory on land close to Buttle Close was rejected by a narrow margin of 7-6.

This decision was made despite the wishes of our community in general. Both our ward councillors Keith Ronaldson and Paull Robathan strongly supported the application as does the Parish Council.

It remains to be seen whether the Bath & Wells Diocese who are responsible for the housing of priests will appeal against this decision.
